Hello there,
Attached are my applications (both Form B) for competitions no. 11 and no. 28 in this year’s International Eisteddfod. Both are in PDF format. Also attached is a recent mp3 recording. If it is at all possible, I would love to get some kind of verification that this email has reached its destination, though I know you are quite busy!
Thank you for your time!
Megan Elizabeth Morris
Yeek, my International Eisteddfod application is safe and sound in the hands of the right people! The mp3 recording I used, incidently, was a music-only version of the Draw Tua Bethlehem track from the WCPN show. I like that track. I hope they like it too!
Last night I was really not certain what I wanted to do this year. It seemed like the best idea not to try to do both the International and the National Eisteddfods, even though they’re so near one another. (The International is in Llangollen, the National in Mold — each about an hour away from a friend’s house!) Competing in both would take me overseas for more than a month and that just doesn’t seem like it would be the best of ideas. But this morning my mother had an epiphany, and she’s absolutely right. This year, I should concentrate on the International. I’ve never done the International! And in the fall, I might try competing at the North American Festival of Wales again. It might just give me a boost into 2008′s National! So… it’s a good plan. And we can’t afford to send me to Wales every year on our own — hell, I’m not sure we can afford for me to go to the International yet! But at least there’s a plan, and it sounds like a plan that has a decent chance of working. That makes me happy.
I’ve been for groceries this morning, vacuumed my house dustmite-free so that rehearsing is an excellent option, and have plenty of work to keep me occupied. I hope you have an excellent day. ;}
